For Season 2024 we are looking for:

SCUBA DIVING and SNORKELING:

2 x PADI scuba diving instructors 

Requirements:

• PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor or higher (MSDT): active with active efr instructor status.
• Power boat license required and experience in driving and mooring boats 
• Fluent in English 
• Legal to work in the EU.
• Working period: -One instructor from Early May to early October 2024 and -One instructor from early July to Late August
• Car license and being able to drive a pickup truck.

Extra but not necessary features:

• Personal scuba diving equipment 
• Greek language
• Sea kayaking, hiking, paddleboarding experience or training 
• Personal transportation vehicle

1 x PADI Divemaster

Requirements:

• PADI Divemaster certificate (active)
• Active first aid certificate
• Power boat license required and experience in driving and mooring boats 
• Personal scuba diving equipment 
• Fluent in English 
• Legal to work in the EU.
• Working period: Early July to early September (we are flexible on that)
• Car license and being able to drive a pickup truck.

Extra but not necessary features:

• Greek language
• Sea kayaking, hiking, paddleboarding experience or training 
• Personal transportation vehicle

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR DIVING PROFESSIONALS:

!!! Working as a diver with Odyssey Outdoor Activities is a great opportunity to be developed not only as a recreational diving professional but also as a technical diver and a conservation diver. We are partners with two of the most important environmental organizations:  We are running with Ghost Divers and Healthy Seas several cleanup projects around the Ionian Islands. We also organize technical diving courses in cooperation with GUE instructors.

SEA KAYAKING:

1 x Sea kayaking guide

Requirements:

• BCU sea kayak leader or equivalent from other organizations 
• Active first aid certificate. (If not active we can run a course for you)
• Experience in running day trips
• Fluent in English 
• Working period: Early May to early October 2024 (we are flexible on that)

Extra but not necessary:

• Experience in guiding multi day trips
• Personal sea kayaking equipment 
• Greek language
• Powerboat license

INTERNSHIPS PROGRAMS

Undertaking our internship program is a great opportunity for any potential outdoor activity guide to gain valuable experience in many different fields next to professional divers, sea kayakers, hikers and first aid instructors.

Depending on the outdoor activity field you would like to expertise in and the time you would like to spend with us we can customize the internship program. We recommend you to stay with us at least 2 months and if possible to join us during the high season (July and August) when we are running multiple trips per day.

Every season the internship positions are limited so the ideal applicant should have at least scuba diving (advanced open water) certificate or higher or sea kayaking experience. Good fitness level is necessary. 

You can choose one or some of the following skills and certifications:

• PADI Divemaster internship (Certificate)
• Sea kayaking skills and guiding (according to BCU and ISKGA syllabus)
• First Aid skills (EFR) (Certificate)
• Outdoor activities photography and image post processing
• Trip research and designing

Accommodation is not provided for the internship program. Sometimes we have available places at the stuff house or we can recommend you a place to stay in Ithaca.
